At DJMC Entertainment, we have seen our fair share of wedding processionals in New Jersey. We have been working with brides and grooms for over 25 years helping them create the wedding of their dreams.
We know that everyone is a fan of the Wedding March. People have been switching it up and playing all kinds of music to walk down the aisle to. After all, the processional song can be one of the most difficult songs that you will need to pick out for the night. Some brides are not the traditional “Wedding March” type. This makes things a little more difficult because you need to ask yourself “Do you want to walk down the aisle with a big entrance?” Some brides have choosing songs that have instrumentals and some choose songs with deep lyrics.
So the options you have are varied and you have a chance to walk down the aisle in a way that fits your personality and says something about who you are. Try and keep it to one song while everyone is walking down the aisle. Playing more than one tune will break up the flow of the processional. If you need to extend a song or trim it to fit your needs, ask your DJ! They are more than willing to help out. After all that is their area of expertise.
If you need some inspiration for choosing a processional song check out this playlist.
This playlist is varies from romantic, alternative to some epic classics that should help you get started.
If you’re doing instrumental, Blackbird really becomes a nice melody and will have our guests tapping their feet and humming along.
“Kissing You” is a slower song but really captures the “first-love” feeling.
In the end you need to walk down the aisle to something that fits your personality and you are comfortable with.
