A wedding entrance that none of your guests will soon forget.
DJMC has been providing professional wedding entertainment for all kinds of events throughout the years in the New Jersey and Tri-State area. Every event we do is unique in it’s own way whether it’s a wedding, corporate party, sweet sixteen or mitzvah. It’s hard to deny that the bridal party entrance can be one of the most memorable experiences at a wedding.
For an MC, this is where their voice needs to shine. We have been doing weddings in New Jersey for over 25 years so you can imagine the amount of wonderful brides and grooms we have come across and the creative ideas they come up with. We know planning a wedding is hard but our years of experience have shown us that good preparation, communication and professionalism will help yield the best results.
During the reception, the DJ or MC are in charge of announcing the bridal party members to all of the guests. Depending on the venue, the crowd can be at their seats or in a circle around the dance floor waiting for the bridal party to make their entrance. These special entrances can be mild in mannered or they can be fun and crazy. It’s really up to the bride and groom and how they have arranged everything with their bridal party.
Here are some tips on how to make the best of the entrance at your wedding.
Before your bridal party makes it’s grand entrance, the DJ or MC will line everyone up and get them organized. However you plan on coming out with music or a special dance, make sure you write it down and give it to your MC. This will give the DJ and MC a good starting point. Even if your are not sure about all the details, it helps to have some type of idea of what you are planning on doing as a heads up. Even if your DJ has not asked you to do this during the planning stages of your wedding, at least write down the order that everyone will be coming out. You will be thanking yourself in the minutes prior to your big entrance. It’s a simple thing, but it goes a long way.
We usually see the grandparents being recognized as they sit in their respective seats. Then the parents come out either with no music or a very traditional song. This allows for the wedding party to make an even bigger entrance since the parents entrance is a bit toned down. Remember this is all up to your taste and if your parents want to come out with all the bells and whistles by all means go ahead.
Wedding receptions are usually reflective of the personalities and sensibilities of the bride and groom. Some couples like making a lot of nose and wild dancing as they come out, others simply wave and smile. Once again, it’s all up to you and what you feel comfortable doing. Keep in the mind the bridal party entrance sets the tone for the party so you don’t want to be too mild as you walk out.
Having a few different songs that fit your style and the style of your wedding party can be very fun. Just make sure the DJ has great timing and the MC is okay with this. After all, the MC will be announcing everyones names at the same time. The songs should be popular and highlight your individual characteristics as you come out. Last year at the Florentine Gardens in River Vale, New Jersey a very colorful bridal party came out to LMFAOs “Party Rock” complete with funky sunglasses and wigs. The guests absolutely loved it and it made complete sense knowing this particular couple.
Once it’s the bride and grooms turn to come out make sure the DJ takes a pause from the music to build up some drama.
This might seem like quite a bit to get in order, but if you hired a professional DJ and MC this will go off without a hitch. With proper planning, an MC with experience will be able to foresee any problems that might arise with your wedding. A grand wedding entrance can be a treat for your guests and with a little planning it can be a very memorable experience.
